Subj: [kl] Eb Maj is heroic! F min is sad! Blah blah blah!

My music history teacher always likes to go on his kick on how the tones
of Eb major inspire heroism...yadda yadda...basically what we've been
discussing...and he will not be swayed!

However...I did bring up an interesting point. He had mentioned that A
major and F major (I think) were the two most fitting keys to be used for
the Enfinzingmer (sensitive) style. I noted that K622 was in A major, and
he was delighted, being given such a perfect example to prove his point.
After class was over, I approached him and asked him to explain why Mozart
changed the keys in the piece.

He thought I meant the key change to D in the second movement. I
mentioned that the work wasn't originally intended to be played in A, but
in G. So...what style was the piece originally meant to be in? Or did
our great and mighty Mozart not believe the hubbub about keys relating to
specific styles.

He didn't have an answer.
