....One obvious thought, of course, is that some notes are better
on a clarinet than others. Example: a key signature that doesn't
include Bb and doesn't use Bb as an accidental leading tone wouldn't
suffer from the clarinet's 'Bb weakness'.
But other than this, is there more to say about why one key
signature may sound 'sweeter' or "harsher' or <choose your metaphor>
than another?
