It is an intermediate instrument. The professional model being the R13 for
about $800 to $1000 more.
The Mozart Clarinet Concerto is I think, one of the most famous to start your
student on. There are plenty of recordings out there for your student to use
as a reference.
W.A. Mozart Op.107 K622
Revised and Arranged by Semeon Bellison
Carl Fisher, Inc. New York
There is also a nice book called:
Master Solos
Intermediate Level
Clarinet
Edited & Performed by Ramon Kireilis
Hal Leonard Publisher
This comes with the clarinet parts, the piano parts and a cassette tape with
a soloist/pianist performing the works and also includes just the
accompaniement for practicing/performing.
(If you would like a list of the works included feel free to inquire
privately)
My 8th grade and high school students enjoy learning all the above mentioned.
Sincerely,
Georgette Calzati
