Heinlein was never in combat in WWII and I think he was invalided out of
the Navy. One could say he got his vote - on his own terms - in just about
the easiest way possible.
I can't remember any addressing of the point of whether *women* ought to
have the vote in any the books of his which I've read. HIs general
attitude to women is very odd.
