good enough, has a meaning quit different from "ever smaller". Of course
"Immer kleiner"means "smaller and smaller", so it should be "ever smaller"

Of course, in the context we are discussing, where the clarinet grows
smaller and smaller as we watch/listen, "ever smaller" which means
essentially the same as "smaller and smaller" is more correct than "always
smaller" which implies that it is smaller right from the start and suggests
nothing about any subsequent decrease in size.

I really need to get out more! :-)

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
