Tonight I am performing the Mozart and Brahms Quintets, at Lake Forest
College, in Lake Forest Illinois .

I am playing with a group of friends, two of whom are "professionals"
(meaning they make money from playing and teaching) and two are talented (and
extremely well-schooled) amateurs, who have decided to make their living in
another manner, but are no less musical or accomplished.

We are performing for the sheer love of experiencing this music together. No
pay, no faculty requirement to "do a recital". Nothing.

In view of the recent recrimination and bitter hard feelings on this list, I
have the following recommendation.

Go play some music. Remember why it is we have all come together here.

Then come back with respect for the fact that NONE of us have all the
answers.......

and that ALL of us are deserve the respect of others.
