When one of my daughters was fortunate enough to be an exchange
student in England, she was not prepared for the amount of potato
normally served at a family meal. So on her first night in her 'new
home', she ate as much potato as she could and then pushed her chair
back from the table and announced, much to the horror of her hosts: "I
am stuffed!"
That was her first lesson in cultural awareness.
