Bill -

Are certain members of the list to blame? I don't think so.

To set the record straight, it is my recollection that MR. Pay brought
everything on himself by his gratuitous personal attack on Kevin Fay,
Kevin's employer, his ethics and morals, all because MR. Pay saw fit to vent
his personal opinion regarding Kevin Fay's employer. And, as I may point
out none of this had anything to do with clarinet or music in general and
was thus, totally inappropriate for the Klarinet List.

I would like to again complement Kevin Fay for his restraint in this matter.

As an aside, Bill, I have personally learned a lot more from your postings
than I ever did from Mr. PAY's postings. Of course, I'm just an old guy who
enjoys playing the clarinet for his own sense of accomplishment, amusement
and (sometimes) amazement. And not being an intellectual musically or
otherwise, a lot of Mr. PAY's dissertations were not of much interest to me.

That's what I was afraid of. We lose the valuable input of an important
Klarinet member because of the childish behavior of a few parties. Not
that Tony is completely blameless, but it takes two (or more) to tango and
this has been carried way too far. Some more "gentlemanly" behavior all
around would have prevented this.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
