That's funny, Tony. I laughed! :-) You know, though, I think we
should all be thankful that the clarinet was the instrument of choice
to be shown on such a popular institution as Star Trek. In the Star
Trek: Voyager series, one of the star characters (Ensign Harry Kim)
is repeatedly acknowledged to be a clarinetist, and scenes of him
playing clarinet are peppered throughout the various episodes of
the series. In one, he actually plays (apropos of recent threads)
Brahms Sonata #2! If I remember correctly, he was noted to have
attended Juilliard's prep division prior to enrolling in Starfleet
Academy.

What I *don't* understand is why they chose such a *bad* player
(the actor, Garrett Wang, does not actually play) to do the actual
playing! Oh well, beggars can't be choosers! :-)
