Ah hah. You're describing the sound that is produced as a *result*
of the act. I thought maybe you had a name for the act itself, like
"flaboodling" or something. Incidentally, I've always perceived
clarinet multiphonics to involve specific fingerings which produce
the effect, as opposed to the hum & play technique. Then again,
whatever works, works.
