For the complete woodwind player, flute is pretty much a required thing, so
flute/clarinet doubles are not unusual at all. The fingering is somewhat
similar, which makes sense given that the current Boehm system clarinet
keywork was developed from the Boehm system flute, although flute overblows
an octave, without a register key!
