greetings,
I've been playing clarinet for nearly 5 years and just last year started
taking lessons with a private instructor. I've made leaps and bounds by
taking private lessons, and now consider myself much better than i was a
year ago. I helped out with a local music festival this summer and had my
first opportunity to hear a proffesional flutist, and I have fell in love
with the sound of the flute. After that I bought some of her recordings
along with a CD featuring the flutist Bonita Boyd.
So basically I am torn between 2 instruments, being the clarinet and the
flute. And I'm afraid, I don't want to just throw away all I have
accomplished on clarinet, although I love the flute's sound much more. Any
comments?
Thanks in advance, Steve
P.S. Has anyone transitioned between the two instruments, if so, how
difficult is it?
