Interesting. I don't own a modern Buffet, but lining up all the insignias
does make a difference on one of my clarinets (of the ones in playable
condition): the 1937 Buffet B-flat. It's got the full insignia on all four
sections (unlike most of my other clarinets that typically have the whole
logo in only one or two places). When the joints are fit together so that
the bridge functions properly, the logos automatically line up on the upper
and lower key stacks, so it seems natural to line the other ones up, too.
This old Buffet with its same-vintage rubber mouthpiece is very resistant.
With the logos lined up, it's conspicuously *less* resistant and the tone
quality seems more resonant to me. It seems to have more overtones and more
"ping" (carrying power). The difference in resistance is significant, but
the difference in tone quality is so small I could be imagining it because I
*expect* to hear something or because I'm subtly changing how I play to meet
the expectation. I can't detect any difference at all in the intonation with
the logos lined up or not.

On my other clarinets, I can't hear that it matters, but I line everything up
anyway, with the barrel logo (if any) centered over the A key, because -- oh,
because. Who knows. My office clutter has just about reached the Avalanche
Warning stage, but I'm standing there fussily straightening up the clarinet
logos in a neat little line. Sheesh. I've spent too much time around
cats....
:o)
