Your best bet would be to look at the drum parts in a lot of arrangements.
Do you have access to a library at a school or college which has a jazz
ensemble library? that would be a good starting point.

Generally speaking, what drummers prefer is not notation that tells them
exactly what to play, but rather a part that shows cues for other things
that are happening in the band. Given that, they generally know what to do,
or at least the experienced ones do.
