in this case I think you are not right, actually the word my grandfather =
taught me some 48 years ago for the Dutch word "veiling" was Auktion. He =
also taught me "Versteigerung", but that has or had a slightly different =
meaning. Maybe this kind of difference is due to local variation? my =
grandfather came from the Rheinland, and you are living in the Black =
Forest.
