Just saw this, after a bit away.
Facts are facts, it's true, and can be challenged. And, I agree, humour
is humour.
But points of view are arguable, and when unsustainable, will be argued
against here. That's one of the values of the list, I'd say.
I repeat below your opinion about the Schoenberg Chamber Symphony. Let
me know if and when you want to change it.
No offence taken, by the way.

....I would hazard a guess that the work would not have sounded much different
(even to ears of the perfect pitch variety) had Eb clarinets, C trumpets,
cor ang, Eb horns all been used also. (Tony Wakefield on Schoenberg Op 9.)
