It seems unlikely. The tuners are based on simple quartz oscillators, just
like watches. Even the cheapest cereal-box prize watch is more accurate
than chronometers used to be. There should not be that much variability,
but if you do get a loser, take it back and get another. Most of what you
get in more expensive tuners, short of strobe-wheel models, is more
features and better quality of construction.
