I don't disagree in the slightest. You bring in a nuance that was not
part of the dialogue. The original statement said new is good, old is
not, as an absolute. That is what I was addressing.

It would be foolish in the extreme for me (or anyone for that matter) to
suggest that there is no value in the new. But that was not the issue
that was being argued.

In effect, we have no disagreement here.
