Thanks to all who replied to my inquiry about the K. I was almost sure that
it was Kochel (plus the umlaut that I don't know how to make on my
computer). In answer to your question, Dave, my teacher not a high school
student but a band director. (I myself am a junior in high school, in fact.)
His major was in clarinet and he's a superb teacher; this is the first time
I've ever known him to be off the mark in the four years I've been studying
privately with him. I don't think he was too into classical music in college
though. Anyway, thank you all for your help on the subject!

P.S. On a compeltely unrelated note, I received three Yamaha Custom A
clarinets from the Woodwind and Brasswind last Friday. The SE and SE-V are
good, but the AE is superb! The response and tone are unbelievable! I'm very
happy with my R-13 Bb, but I think this Yamaha has it beat. I've always been
partial to A clarinets though, so maybe I'm biased :)
