Mr. Fobes, Dan has always been interested in how Stadler extended a
clarinet and added a vent hole in order that the extension would not be
immediately obvious to historians. Perhaps now is the proper
opportunity to do Dan a favor? (Vinny isn't the sort who would notice
this when he comes to collect Dan's horns.)
