Dan,
I own one and use it when I travel. There are no flight problems because I
can carry it on and put it in an overhead. In the small puddle-jumpers, I
let them put it with the luggage, but I watch them load it. The only
drawback is, fully loaded with two clarinets and a bass, it gets a bit
heavy with the strap. Buy a pad to put on the strap - and make sure it is
cushy!
