K., K.V., Abbv. for Koechel-Verzeichnis, i.e., the chronological list of all
the works of Mozart made by L. von Koechel (publ. 1862, rev. by Einstein ,
1937, '47; by Geigling, Weinmann, and Sievers, 1964). Mozart's compositions
are usually referred to by the numbers of this list, e.g., K. 357 or K.V.
357. See A. Hyatt King, "Das neue Koechel-Verzeichnis" (MF xviii).

--- Harvard Dictonary of Music, Willi Apel / Second Edition, Revised and
Enlarged, (c) 1969

so it may be a bit out of date. Dan L - revisions since '64?
