I checked (when it`s too late of course) with English P.R.S. "California" is
still registerd to:- 2 thirds to Carlin Music. And 1 third to Feldman (now
E.M.I.) I`m told that a one to one upload/download would most(?) probably
be treated as a domestic arrangement (no money being involved). Therefore no
infringement. But to upload to 800 would be treated quite severely
differently! They don`t know that I did that of course - I deceitfully
didn`t reveal my "little" misdemeanour.
Best to Mark and Dee,
Tony W.

What I did notice tho` is that the copyright will most probably have
expired, the date on the bottom of the sheet being 1924.

1923 is safe. 1924 is a maybe - 25% of the copyrights were renewed. If
it's an English copyright then I have no idea - I only try & keep up w/
American copyright law.

Hey Mark, go back and check that excellent web page you directed us to. In
the US, 1922 is safe, 1923 and later is a maybe.
