I go direct via Acrobat to PDF. It uses a PostScript driver but doesn't
actually create a PostScript file. The PDF writer become an available
"printer device". One of the major advantages of PDF over PostScript is that
the fonts are embedded in the file - you don't need to have the fonts
available on another computer to render the document.
Acrobat is relatively expensive, though.
