Yes to both and one more thing.

Sending a large file such as you did to the listserver causes it to be
copied near 800 times - to people that aren't expecting it. 18K * 800 =
14.4Mb moved through sneezy just for one message.

I try & strip _all_ attachments from email. It's just too dangerous to let
any through.

I don't know the copyright status of that music; if indeed it is copyrighted
the server could get shut down. It's happened to other listservers and Web
sites.
