Certainly not everything Gershwin wrote was PROFOUND. But little of it was
LESS than entertaining, which means it suited its purpose admirably.

I notice that Mozart's first few symphonies are seldom performed lately.
Could it be that even THE GREAT ONE had some less-than-Olympian works in
his library?
