The Schoenberg Op. 43a has an ending with a story attached to it.

The next time you play it, listen carefully to the last six measures and
then ask yourself "Where have I heard this music before?" It's
Gershwin, and, so the story goes, the two men were playing a lot of
tennis together in Los Angeles and Gershwin showed Schoenberg the ending
of his Rhapsodie in Blue and Schoenberg liked it so much, he emulated it
as the ending of Op. 43a to give honor to Gerswin.

Pay attention next time. There will be a quiz.
