[snip] [I'd rather see a show that, unlike "Cats"] has actual singable
tunes with clever, sensible lyrics all through it (not just one -
"Memory"), a PLOT, jokes, less dancing than "Cats" maybe, but still
plenty, and leaves you positivley breathless with enjoyment. By
comparison I find "Cats" to be a bore, notwithstanding many attractively
slinky dancers in skin-tight leotards.

DITTO. I've never been able to force myself to watch the entire
video when it's on public broadcasting. 20 minutes is enough for me.
I used "Cats" as an example for my copyright question because: (1)
it's famous and can earn sufficient money that there's something at
stake; and (2) it's the sort of show that someone might want to perform
differently in order to appeal to your & my type of audience.
