Jay,

Possibly not much help to you if you are using a remote mail server, but I use Lotus/Domino (Notes)
release4 for my email at work. The company's mail server is a Domino server, and all mail lives
permanently on the server (i.e. it is not downloaded - the Notes interface is simply reading the
content of the server). We also have Outlook Express (through IE) and plugging the email password in
to OEx will clear all unread mail from the Domino server, and download it to OEx folders on the
local drive.

I have no experience of using Notes outside of the Domino servers environment at the office.

Regards,

Ian
