Tom, I'll bet that a microbiology tech would love your reeds. What are your
doctor bills like?
As far as reed storage, I do take the out each time. When I go through a new
batch, I make a mark on the ones that I especially like. (Unfortunately,
they do wear out eventually, and then I have to go through that pain in the
neck known as breaking in the reed.) If they are reeds that I'll only use in
an emergency, they go in my desk drawer -- if I'm desparate I'll bring them
out.
One other idea -- I asked my teacher what to do with reeds which were going
to be ditched anyway. Since I was going camping, her advice was to use them
as kindling. Just a thought.
