Hello Mark et al,
There is no professional guild or association which governs - oversees the
performance standards of the professional musical instrument technician.
(NAPBIRT is little more than a very expensive mutual admiration society,
where their annual dues ($90 ?) subsidize their annual convention). I have
made a proposal for just such an association. It is listed on my web site at:

I would be very interested in opinions of this proposal.
