I am somewhat surprised by the omission of AFRICAN rhythms and the blues
form in your mix. Surely that was an oversight, since the rest of the
statement is right on target. Yet, perversely, today we see latin and
"urban" (read "black") music have become separate entities instead of parts
of the mix, and standard "pop" music is lily-white, returning to the days
of "race" records in the 1920's and 30's. This is apparently a reflection
of what is happening in society generally and is NOT a good thing.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
