I remember watching and listening to Vienna and then later visiting with
Bernstein. I distinctly remember telling my wife as we walked to the car
that as a musician and conductor I thought he was superb, but that as a
human being he left much to be desired. I don't say this lightly - because
I really like his music, his recordings, etc., but when I met him I was
dissapointed with his social and personal behavior.

But he sure got the Vienna Phil to sound great!
