I think this move is motivated in part because such names as "Bundy" had
become associated in the public view with "low quality." The same thing
happens in other businesses. Notice that K-Mart is in the process of
changing their name to "Big K," formerly the name of one of their
competitors. I think they heard so many jokes on televison about K-Mart and
"blue light specials" that they decided to try to disassociate themselves
from the image which they themselves had created.
