When I was young, my folks had two double decks of KEM plastic playing
cards. The plastic cases for both of these card sets appeared to be black,
but one of them, when looked through into strong light, proved to be in
fact a very deep red -- like dark enough to look directly at the SUN
through! Not a lot of help, I'll admit, but at least this suggests that
such plastic is not ENTIRELY unique.
