Neil,

It was I, Ed Maurey. I stated that one second of emersion in boiling water
WEAKENS a Legere reed about one quarter strength. To strengthen them I use
my old Cordier reed clipper. Legere's are tough to clip, but it can be
done.

[Yes, I'm a Royal Subject, but not a Brit. I'm a Canadian...just like Guy
Legere.]
