Your point is well taken and certainly applicable to the Vandoren case. In
the case of the Selmer C*, however, the facing stayed basically the same
but the chamber was dramatically and clearly VISIBLY altered from the
previous design, external contours modified, and the "S-80" designation
added, to indicate that this was, indeed, a new and different model. What
nobody here can figure out is WHY! (Give us back the C* "Classic!")
