I quit using my O'Brien OB* for a long time, and lately came back to it for
use playing second clarinet parts in a concert band. The intonation is
very solid and articulation is good. It does not have soloist projection,
especially in the lower chalumeau, but it blends very well in the section.
The tip opening is quite small, though, and I have been using Mitchell
Lurie 4 1/2's on it, and could maybe even go UP a notch! It would be the
world's WORST jazz mouthpiece, but it it fine for this application.

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
