Assuming that it is not published and that the British Museum has the
manuscript, you get it this way. You write to them, citing the exact
information from which you learned that they are supposed to have it.
Better yet, make a copy of the reference and include it with your
letter.

Then, and this is the most important part, in the same letter, include a
check (preferably in pound sterling if you can get it) for the
equivalent of about $20. Don't expect them to do anything if you don't
pay the cost up front. $20 is probably too much, but that is good for
you because the British are an extremely honest group of people and will
be so shocked that you so overpaid that they will get you a copy of what
you requested right away.

Oh yes, ask for photocopies. Believe me, you don't want microfilm. And
xerographies are only OK if the machine is a good one. Otherwise you
won't be able to read what you got.

Don't expect a refund. That would drive them up a tree.

In the unlikely event that you have underpaid, they may ask you for more
money or they may just forget it if it is only a few dollars.

Alternatively, ask someone on KLARINET to do all this for you and send
him or her a US$ check in advance, adding about $9 more for what it will
cost them to cash your $ check, OR, send them a US International Postal
Money Order for the equivalent of $20 and that is what they will get
when they present that money order to a British post office, but they
will get it in pound sterling.

Is all this clear? You are going to get a test on it, you know.
