As I explained in the posts, I am using

Harmonic

to mean, a sound that is decomposable into, or constructable from, a
collection of sinusoidal overtones that are in whole number ratios.
Thus, if the sound has frequency f, it is equivalent to the sum of
various proportions of the sinusoidal frequencies f, 2f, 3f, 4f, etc;

Anharmonic

to mean, a sound not so decomposable or constructable.
