As long as you've a soundcard on your computer it's very easy. You'll plug
in the DAT to either the line input or the optical input (it depends on your
DAT & your soundcard - optical is better since it goes digital-digital),
open up your WAV recorder (most of the time you'll get the software with
your soundcard), set up the volume controls, and record.

The Help file on your WAV recorder and your soundcard should have explicit
instructions on how to accomplish the above. Converting from WAV to CD
involves a CD burner, and the software that comes with the burner should
have instructions for doing that (a WAV file & a CD file are different
formats).

Converting a WAV to MP3 involves a different piece of software. Depending on
the computer type there's plenty of freeware & shareware around. If you're
on a Intel Win PC then check http://oak.oakland.edu .
