I recently acquired a very nice portable DAT recorder and mike. I'd like to
record some of my playing and that of friends and upload to my computer to
make some cd's for our own use. Or even just store the music on my hard
drive for later study, in wav or mp3 format for example. If anyone has
experience with this process I would appreciate hearing from you.

I would imagine there has to be some way of inputting the digital
information from the DAT machine onto the hard drive and perhaps also some
type of minimal editing software. I would hope I don't have to buy more
hardware, another deck, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.
