What I tend to do, since when standing, I prefer the direct in front
method...is on pieces that I solo, I go ahead and edge the seat and play
horn in front for the whole work. For the ones I don't solo on, I crook
the mouthpiece and neck and drop the horn to the side. It's a rather
minor adjustment to the neck and mpc if you keep the cork greased and
don't overtighten the neckscrew.
