If the current industry trend and attitude continues, the "big" record com-
panies will lose their prominent place in the classical music world, to be
replaced by the current stable of independent small-fries: Bis, Harmonia Mundi,
etc. The balance will shift, and classical music may thrive yet again for
the coming generation of lovers and listeners.
