Absolutely not. I've found that playing flute has actually improved my
clarinet and sax playing tremendously. Flute teachers, i've found, tend to
be more concious of breathing and tension. My flute teacher has helped me
realize when i'm holding my breath with my wrist or neck (or any other part
of my body).
I can play nearly twice as long as i used to be able to (which was a pretty
long time to begin with) on the same breath.

Clarinet playing is more of a problem for flute playing than Flute is to
clarinet. If playing more than one instrument there wouldn't be so many
people who double for musicals and what not as a living.

So have fun and learn all you can.
