Someone here in UK wants me to take care of the orchestrations for a new
stage musical featuring a few fangs. That`s all I`m allowed to say at
present. Possibly a dodgy venture.

Seriously, given the success of shows like Annie and Jekyll & Hyde
and Technicolor Dreamcoat and Man of La Mancha, I think that Dracula
could be a winner if written halfway well. Some 'well-written' shows
fail simply because the story line or theme isn't 'in' at the time. I
think that Dracula would be sufficiently 'in' these days that it would
do OK even if it wasn't absolutely perfect.

<><> Do you know of any Stokers` in the U.S. Bill? That would be
interesting to discover.

I have copies of three other Stoker books, and the editor of one of
them writes:
"Finally I corresponded with Noel Stoker [no country mentioned]
, Bram's grandson, who said he would be delighted to let me be Stoker's
literary agent. Unfortunately most of the works had lapsed into public
domain. >snip< I would like to thank [Kensington Publishing, aka
Zebra Books, 21 East 40th St, NY, NY 10016] and the kind people at
Hutchinson Publishing Group in London, the British publisher for
Stoker's works, for making this volume possible."

Now you know everything that I do (about Bram Stoker's
descendants), Believe it or not, my copy of Webster's biographical
dictionary describes Dracula as a "mystery story"!

Cheers,
Bill
