The whistling idea was also introduced to me as a way of getting the chin
down. Beware though- not everyone whistles the same way. When _I_ whistle
the bottom of my chin bunches up- not what we were aiming for...

I like the isometric idea that Neil posted- particularly with the
mouthpiece- you can also work on articulation and if you're really brave
and alone you can actually _play_ only the mouthpiece and work on
flexibility. I've also used an exercise where you first pull all the
muscles away from the embouchure then pucker everything forwards in an
exaggerated Ooooh, Aaaaah. It looks pretty funny but gets facial muscles
moving that you may have forgotten in the years off.
