"Rock stops" (the ones that look like rubber hockey pucks with a little
metal holder in the middle) tend themselves to slide around once they get a
coating of dust on them. They make a kind that consists of a strap which
hooks around the chair leg at one end and has a holder for the end-pin at
the other. They're adjustable for length. I've never tried one with a bass
clarinet peg. If you adjusted the length carefully, I can't see why it
wouldn't work.
