It was probably one of the renovation crew looking to make an extra buck- as
far as I know, when my advisor retired (shortly after I left - I've always
wondered if I should feel guilty!), he told no one about the tubing. I sure
it will be a signficant surprise one day, if it hasn't already been
discovered :).
