You might add "...without imposing any of the instrument's actual weight on the
player's neck." The strap simply regulates the maximum distance that the mouth-
piece can stray outward from the mouth, indeed generating a greater sense of sta-
bility, especially on the throat tones, where few fingers are involved in bracing
the instrument.
